Superintendent's Message

Dear River Trails 26 Community,

It is an honor and a privilege to serve you and your children as superintendent.  It is my goal that each and every child in the district grows to their potential academically, socially and physically.  I am so fortunate that there is a strong administrative and staff team at each school and that parent involvement is high.  Together we can ensure the success of our children and the community.

Living so close, I am excited to participate fully in the community, including this summer’s Fourth of July parade and the Boxwood Bash.  I am looking forward to meeting many of you at upcoming district and community events.

The Board of Education and I will be looking for your input on how to best address the space needs in the district due to growing enrollment.  We will share the dates and formats as soon as they are scheduled.  My office door and my email are always open if you would like to share your thoughts with me at  You can check in with my assistant Veronica Kagan if you want to stop by the office to make sure I am there at 847-297-4120, Ext. 7301.

Nancy Wagner
